A NATIONWIDE TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN WILL BE HELD IN TURKMENISTAN

Spring is the best time to plant trees and shrubs. Traditionally, large-scale landscaping events are held in our country during this period.

This year, based on the Decree signed by the President of Turkmenistan, a nationwide tree planting campaign will be held on the 18th of March.

Carried out as part of the implementation of the National Forest Program for 2021-2025, the spring campaign is designed to ensure environmental well-being throughout the country.

The main purpose of the landscaping activities is to increase the number and quality of forest areas, as well as to properly care for the planted tree seedlings.

The ministries, sectoral departments, hakimliks of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat were ordered to ensure the holding of a nationwide action at a high organizational level.

This year, 3 million seedlings of various trees and grapes are planned to be planted throughout the country. Of these, 1.5 million will be planted during the spring planting campaign.
