SEVERAL COPIES OF THE MANUSCRIPTS OF THE TURKMEN CLASSIC MAGTYMGULY FRAGI WERE BROUGHT FROM RUSSIA BY TURKMEN SCIENTISTS

In preparation for the international celebration of the 300th anniversary of the poet-philosopher and brilliant Turkmen thinker Magtymguly Fragi, scientists from the National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan visited the cities of Moscow and St. sources on the literature and history of the Turkmen people stored in libraries and manuscript collections of scientific and museum centers of Russia.
The main purpose of the trip was the search for manuscripts, microfilms and electronic copies of works, as well as historical information about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, Turkmen scientists held a number of meetings with famous Russian scientists - historians and orientalists, library and museum specialists.
In the Russian capital, scientists from Turkmenistan met with the chief researcher of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences T.A. Anikeeva and got acquainted with the manuscripts stored at the Institute. They also visited the State Museum of Oriental Art, the largest cultural and educational center of the country, which has many monuments of art and artistic culture of Central Asia in its collection, where they met with the famous historian and orientalist, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences I. V. Zaitsev.
In St. Petersburg, scientists from the Magtymguly National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of the Academy of Sciences got acquainted with the manuscript collection of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts, a research institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the field of a comprehensive study of Eastern written monuments, and also studied the manuscripts stored in the Russian National Library, the Library Faculty of Oriental Studies, St. Petersburg State University, Institute of the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences, State Museum of the History of Religion. A meeting was also held with the leadership of the Department of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Kazakhstan of the Russian Ethnographic Museum, where Turkmen scientists got acquainted with the museum valuables related to Turkmen history and culture.
Several copies of the manuscripts of the Turkmen classic Magtymguly Fragi, as well as manuscripts related to Turkmen literature and history, were brought to our country as a result of a fruitful scientific and creative trip.
