Solemn ceremony of the opening of the Monument to the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality held in Ashgabat
On 11 December 2025, a solemn ceremony marking the opening of the Monument to the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality and the raising of flags was held on the square in front of the Neutrality Monument in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
This unique structure, built in the form of a circular architectural complex, has become a vivid symbol of Turkmenistan’s positive foreign policy based on the principles of permanent neutrality, which has been recognized three times by the United Nations.
The circular external architectural design of the Monument, symbolizing unity and consistent dialogue, harmoniously combines with the flagpoles arranged in a ring. White and blue - the colors of the flag and emblem of the United Nations - predominate in its design.
The white color symbolizes peace, openness, and goodwill, while the blue reflects universal unity and preventive diplomacy, which Turkmenistan actively promotes on the international arena.
The event was attended by numerous members of foreign delegations who arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the International Day of Neutrality.
Representatives of the Mejlis, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, and heads of Turkmenistan’s ministries and departments also took part in the opening ceremony of the Monument.
On that day, an exhibition dedicated to this significant date was organized at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
