ROUNDTABLE DEDICATED TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF PERMANENT NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN HELD IN ISTANBUL
On the 14th of February 2020, a roundtable was held in the premises of the Topkapi Cultural Park of Istanbul, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and announcement of the year 2020 “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality.” The event was organized by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey jointly with the Cultural Centre of the Istanbul City Administration.
The staff members of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey, representatives of the Cultural Centre, public figures and scientists, as well as the representatives of local mass media took part in the roundtable.
The successful implementation by Turkmenistan of the projects in the field of sustainable energy and transport, nature and ecological protection, healthcare and sport in accordance with the neutrality status and “open door” policy of the country was stated at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting noted that in the framework of its neutrality status, Turkmenistan contributes to the coordinated development of peaceful, friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the countries of the region and the world by the means of supporting peace and security in the area.
