SUPPLY OF RUSSIAN LOCOMOTIVES TO TURKMENISTAN REVIEWED
Talks between representatives of Türkmendemirýollary Agency, Demirýollary Open Joint Stock venture and Transmashholding Joint Stock Company, Russian Federation were held in video conference format.
Big attention paid by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the development of railroad sphere is provided by the fact that this transport is distinguished by universality and reliability, ability to transport all kind of cargoes with relatively low cost and availability of territorial capabilities for turning of Turkmenistan into big logistic centre.
In this context, special attention is paid to the strengthening of equipment and facility base of this sphere by provision of modern railroad transport from leading producers including big Russian companies.
Transmashholding JSC (TMH) takes leading position in the market of Russian transport heavy engineering, therefore, our country actively intensifies efficient contacts having huge capabilities for implementation of the projects in transport and logistic system.
During the meeting, having confirmed mutual interest in expansion of cooperation, the members of the delegation discussed measures for diversification of joint efforts aimed at realization of existing significant potential of the partnership. The sides have reviewed subjects of production and delivery of locomotives and spare parts as well as service matters.
Exchange of opinions on opportunity of training of maintenance and locomotive teams has also taken place under web discussions.
