THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN HELD AN ONLINE WORKING MEETING

Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a digital working meeting with participation of the deputy chairman of the Cabinet who supervises agriculture and khyakims of velayats.

Among the discussed issues - implementation of programs of social and economic development of the country, preparation for celebrations in honour of the coming 30th anniversary of independence of our Fatherland, complex measures for organized conduction of seasonal agricultural activities.

Having opened the working meeting, the head of state first gave the floor to khyakim of Akhal velayat Ya. Gurbanov. The head of administration reported on the situation in the region, preparation for the beginning of wheat sowing at a qualitatively high level and to organized harvest of cotton in anticipation of celebration of anniversary of independence of the country.

The head of state gave the khyakim concrete instructions on the organized beginning of cotton harvest on September 8, having taken all measures for collecting crop in the shortest possible time and without loss by means of cotton harvesting combines, and also defoliation according to requirements.

Further khyakim of Balkan velayat T. Atakhallyev reported on the state of affairs in the region, having placed emphasis on the course of seasonal agricultural work, in particular, on timely and high-quality completion of sowing of winter wheat, complex preparation for cotton harvesting. As was noted, so far cotton harvesting combines, equipment for transportation, ginneries and places of acceptance are completely ready to the forthcoming harvest season.

During the report information on preparation for the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty which has a great significance the life of the country, was delivered.

Further the working meeting proceeded with the report of khyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov who reported on the course of the seasonal agricultural work which is carried out these days in the region, on ensuring of effective functioning machinery used in the sowing campaign as well as on preparation for the cotton-picking harvest season, and also for the coming nearer significant date which is conducted along with it - to the 30th anniversary of state independence.

Readiness level for the start of cotton-picking harvest season on September 15, collecting cotton qualitatively and without loss, care of rice plantations of the velayat and the undertaken measures for production of high yield of rice were also informed.

Further khyakim of Lebap velayat Sh. Amangeldiyev reported on the course of solution of the tasks set for the agricultural branch, fulfilment of the instructions which were earlier given by the head of state on timely conduction of wheat sowing, providing tenant-grain growers with high-quality seeds.

Reporting on care of rice, various winter agricultural crops, and the khyakim informed that all efforts on ensuring compliance of these works with agro-technical requirements are made.

The president of the country indicated the need of strict control over the course of construction of facilities of different designations, planned to be commissioned in the velayat on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence of the country, and also thorough preparation for the next meeting of Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, having given the khyakim a number of concrete instructions.

Then khyakim of Mary velayat D. Annaberdiyev reported on the state of affairs in the region, in particular, on work on organized conduction of winter wheat sowing, providing peasants with high-quality seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and irrigation water in sufficient volume.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov charged him to hold under constant control over issues of organization of the celebrations planned in honour of the 30th anniversary of independence of the country, and also thorough preparation for the next meeting of Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.

During the digital working meeting deputy-chairman of the Cabinet E.Orazgeldiyev reported on the course of seasonal agricultural work and also on preparation for the forthcoming next meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation.

As was noted, today Turkmen-Uzbek partnership which includes itself several directions, has come up to a qualitatively new level. Proceeding from it forward multidimensional interaction of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan finds complex dynamics according to requirements of present time and with an available huge potential of two countries.

At the next meeting of the Inter-governmental commission agreements on a number of directions, favourable to both parties, will be reached. For its activity a key role is given to practical embodiment of the reached agreements that serves harmonious development friendly, good-neighbourhood between two countries.

Having heard the report and having noted that our state attaches huge significance to comprehensive expansion of international cooperation and good-neighbourhood relations, the head of Turkmenistan focused attention on importance of due preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation playing a special role in strengthening of constructive dialogue with the brotherly country.

In this context President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov charged the deputy-chairman of the Cabinet to discuss issues and agreements which will make up the agenda, and to arrange organization of the forthcoming meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation next week together with his Uzbek colleague.

The responsible and integrated approach of khyakims of velayats to the solution of objectives plays large role in ensuring food abundance and strengthening of wellbeing of citizens, the leader of the nation emphasized, having given to participants of the working meeting concrete instructions.

As the President of Turkmenistan emphasized, to welcome significant dates by labour gifts - good national tradition.

Closing the online working meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health and great success in their work for prosperity of our sovereign Fatherland and wellbeing of its native people.
