TURKMENISTAN AT THE SITE OF THE XVII EURASIAN MEDIA FORUM

On September 15, in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, the XVII Eurasian Media Forum began its work, which brought together representatives from different countries of the world on its platform.
The hybrid format of the event allows to expand the list of participants, along with experts, cultural and public figures from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Great Britain, Turkmenistan takes an active part in the forum.
The program of the event is designed for three days, during which participants will receive round tables, master classes and discussions dedicated to the impact of the pandemic on the world community. The goal of the forum is to preserve strong friendly ties between countries, create a direct dialogue and support the professional development of the Eurasian media in the light of current events.
Representatives of Turkmenistan participate in the dialogue of the Round Table - the media of the Turkic-speaking countries "Development of cooperation in the new reality".
Earlier, in August of this year, a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast, for which the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali visited our country Rakhmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Then, speaking to the distinguished guests, the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the states of Central Asia have a huge multifaceted potential, the implementation of which is in the interests of common well-being, prosperity and progress:
“There is no such problem, such an issue that we could not solve together, openly and confidentially setting out our positions, taking into account the interests of each other, relying on the centuries-old experience of good neighborliness and respect, a great variety of humanitarian and human ties, common culture, spirituality and traditions, ”the President emphasized.
Interacting with the WHO (World Health Organization) and other specialized UN agencies, our country has accumulated rich experience in the field of medical diplomacy - in promoting practical contacts between physicians, developing effective steps in addressing issues of human health protection, scientific and information exchange in the field of prevention and combating dangerous diseases.
Adapting to the new reality, Turkmen doctors and journalists got acquainted with the methods of effective communication during the period of vaccination against COVID-19. The training course for specialists was organized by the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan.
It cannot be denied that the pandemic has changed the world, but at the same time, the XVII Eurasian Media Forum, which opened in Nur-Sultan, is intended to become an important platform for finding new vectors of global cooperation. Sessions dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, the "green strategy", the problem of fake news and the post-pandemic future will also be held on the sidelines of the forum.
