THE BOOKS ABOUT THE CLIMATE CHANGE WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF TURKMENISTAN

The British Embassy in Ashgabat provided to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan over 7 thousand copies of book about the climate change «Ladybird Expert-Climate change», translated to English and Turkmen. The books will be distributed in the schools and educational centers of our capital.

The illustrated edition, issued by the popular publishing company «Ladybird Books», presents a simple, and at the same time the informative introduction for adults and youth to the one of most important problems of mankind. The edition in the interest for reader form, explains the risks and challenges related to the global warming, causes and consequences of climatic upheaval, thermal waves, floods and other extreme weather conditions, describes the disappearing wild nature and explores the possible problem solving.

The book of His Royal Highness Prince of Wales won worldwide recognition. Prince Charles decided to write the book after his participation in Climate Change Conference in Paris. He paid attention there that there is no simple plain literature on this theme. Co-authored with the scientist-climatologist from the Cambridge University Dr. Emily Shuckborgh and specialist on environment protection Tony Juniper he decides to rectify this omission. The prepared manuscript was studied by the group of scientists from the Royal Meteorological Society and experienced climatologists, whereafter it was sent into print.

The book will be interesting both for youth and adult population of Turkmenistan as an valuable source in the field of the climate change and educational tool which will help to improve English language knowledge.

It should be noted, that the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) under the chairmanship of the United Kingdom will be held in Glasgow (Scotland) on 31 October - 12 November, 2021.
