THE TURKMEN SPECIALISTS BECOME FAMILIARIZED WITH THE BEST PRACTICE IN THE CAPITAL MARKET DEVELOPMENT

OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized the online seminar on development of the capital market and the stock exchange in Turkmenistan.

In the event participated the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Central Bank, Academy of Civil Servants at the President of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat Stock Exchange and other relevant state bodies, and non-governmental structures.

Officials of the Stock Exchange of Kazakhstan shared best practices in managing capital market and the Stock Exchange, peculiarities of the diversified investment portfolio forming, and building an infrastructure of the capital market.

In their turn, the representatives of Turkmenistan provided review of the capital market in our country and discussed possible steps on further development of its infrastructure.

Recognizing the importance of creating a good business environment for countries aiming to attract investment and develop their private business sectors, John MacGregor, Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, said: “A well-developed domestic capital market allows governments and companies to access long-term finance in local currency, increases investments directed towards innovation, and promotes sustainable growth with greater employment opportunities for middle-class community.”
