An agreement with the United Nations Development Programme signed at the MFA of Turkmenistan

On January 29, 2018, the signing of the "Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Program about UN premises" was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The ceremony was attended by the heads and staff of the UNDP office and the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Turkmenistan, as well as the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

     The Turkmen side stressed that one of the main directions of foreign policy of Neutral Turkmenistan is to expand cooperation with international organizations. In this aspect, the role of the strategic partnership of the country with the United Nations and with its units was underlined. The sides noted successful joint projects and initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at ensuring universal peace, security and stability.

      UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan Elena Panova expressed her gratitude to the Turkmen side and the President of Turkmenistan for constant support and noted that the new premises will serve as a base for all UN missions in fulfilling the set goals and tasks.
