DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION EXCHANGE IN THE CIS SPACE

In October of this year, the Russian state federal news agency TASS plans to hold a seminar for photojournalists from the CIS countries, and in November - a seminar for journalists.

This was reported at the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth held in Minsk. Turkmenistan was represented at the meeting by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev.

Next year, it is planned to organize two more trainings - for journalists and photojournalists from news agencies and other media of the Commonwealth countries.

It should be noted that the Council of Heads of State News Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States is currently operating. In 2004, in order to promote an increase in the level and efficiency of the exchange of materials, the Council adopted an Agreement on the establishment of an information service of the Association of National News Agencies of the CIS Member States (ANIA).

This year, the Information Council takes an active part in covering the most important events held within the Commonwealth. Plans are also being worked out for 2023, which is declared in the CIS as the Year of the Russian language as the language of interethnic communication.

As noted at the meeting, the accumulated experience of the Council will contribute to the deepening of cooperation, and its activities are aimed at further interaction between the CIS member countries in the cultural sphere, the search for new forms and mechanisms with access to concrete and generally significant results for the Commonwealth.

The Permanent Representatives also considered the issue of implementing the provisions of the Free Trade Zone Agreement, which was signed on October 18, 2011. It is aimed at creating conditions for the stable development of the economy in the interests of raising the standard of living of the population, developing mutual trade without obstacles.
