THE MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE KHALK MASLAKHATY OF THE MILLI GENGESH WITH THE HEAD OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Today, upon completion of the solemnities in the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex, the meeting of Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with President of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov took place.
Having expressed his acknowledgment for finding time, the guest conveyed Hero-Arkadag sincere greetings and congratulations of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. As President Rustam Minnikhanov noted, traditional friendly relations based on principles of mutually beneficial partnership as well as historically developed cultural and spiritual commonality of Turkmen and Tatar peoples connect Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
Availing of the given opportunity, the guest also congratulated Arkadag with the national holiday of the Turkmen horse.
In the meeting, it was marked that in the light of modern realities promotion of parliamentary diplomacy called to facilitate peace and sustainable development, strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between countries and peoples assumes a great significance. Development of inter-parliamentary relations act an inseparable part of the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan based upon principles of positive neutrality, peace loving and constructive international partnership.
Speaking of important events to be held in Ashgabat in May, Arkadag underlined the significance of the Inter-parliamentary Forum of Central Asian countries and the Russian Federation, which plays a key role on the progressive development of inter-parliamentary relations.
Having expressed confidence that today’s meeting will become another step to strengthen the Turkmen-Tatar relations of friendship and cooperation, President Rustam Minnikhanov invited Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamed to the Republic of Tatarstan to participate in various social and cultural events.
Arkadag expressed his gratitude for the invitation to participate as a honourable guest in the events, which will take place in Tatarstan in the next month, including in the forum devoted to the 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria as well as the 13th International Economic Summit “Russian-Islamic World: Kazan -2022” and an annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-Islamic World”. As Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, we appreciate this invitation as a token of great respect.
After the meeting, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, having warmly bid farewell to Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, headed towards the International Airport of Ashgabat city form where he left for his country.
