On the Meeting with the UNFPA Country Director in Turkmenistan

On December 11, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the Country Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Turkmenistan, Chinwe Ogbonna.

At the beginning of the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the importance and effectiveness of the International Conference entitled “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Promoting International Cooperation for Sustainable Development,” which had taken place the previous day in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

During the discussion, the sides noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNFPA and discussed plans for the coming year.

At the meeting, gratitude was expressed to the Turkmen side for its hospitality and the high organizational level of the above-mentioned conference.
