Meeting with the Minister of International Economic Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia

On December 11, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and the Minister of International Economic Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia Nenad Popović, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in events marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality and the International Day of Neutrality.

During the talks, a constructive exchange of views took place on key issues of the bilateral agenda, and the level of political-diplomatic dialogue between the two countries was reviewed.

It was noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Serbia is developing on the basis of the principles of mutual respect, equality, and mutually beneficial partnership.

Among the promising areas of bilateral economic relations, trade, the textile industry, the export of polymers, fertilizers, and agricultural products were identified.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the positive experience of interaction between the two countries at international platforms, in particular within the framework of the United Nations, where they provide mutual support and act as co-sponsors of significant international initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continuing the established dialogue in order to diversify and further develop fruitful cooperation in line with mutual interests was emphasized.
