"LOOK AT THE MUSIC - LISTEN TO THE DANCES": JEYHUN AGA-TAGIYEV ABOUT HIS WORK

A creative personality, a good dancer and a charming young man - this is how the audience of the children's international television and music competition “You are super! Dances "participant from Turkmenistan Jeyhun Aga-Tagiyev.

In 2017, straight from the city of Mary, the young man got on the set of the Russian television channel "NTV". Friends, fellow countrymen and numerous compatriots followed the fate of the guy on the project.

On August 21, Jeyhun Aga-Tagiyev will perform in Ashgabat at the concert "A Midsummer Night's Dream", which will take place in the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Hall. On the eve of the music and dance evening, we met with the dancer and asked about his fate after participating in a well-known television project.

- For the competition “You are super! Dancing "I was 16 years old, so when I returned home I was waiting for school," says the dancer. - My hometown greeted me very warmly, there were many people who were worried, followed my fate on the project, wanted to say nice words to support and just get to know me. Almost immediately a concert was organized, where I was invited to perform. For some time I danced at charity concerts in Mary and Ashgabat, and then, after my studies and school final exams, it was time to serve in the army.

Two years in military service flew by unnoticed, but even here, in the difficult everyday life of the army, Jeyhun found time for creativity. He mastered musical notation and mastered the art of playing a musical instrument.

- Participation in an international dance competition taught me to look more broadly at my capabilities. I realized that there are no boundaries for creativity, in many ways my mentor, choreographer Yuri Vorobyov, helped me to realize this. During my stay on the project, I mastered different dance styles, although before that I danced mainly in the direction of popping animation. Now I continue to practice dance and teach modern choreography to children, I also study graphic design.

Decently representing Turkmenistan on the international stage, in the final of the competition “You are super! Dancing ”Jeyhun Aga-Tagiyev took the fourth place out of 150 declared participants. The jury and the audience of the project noted the innate plasticity of the guy and how he intuitively feels the music.

- For me, dancing is life, and life is dancing. Many aspiring dancers, studying movements, try to exactly repeat the teacher's choreography, and freestyle dancers express themselves more freely. I am a supporter of the improvisational and author's style, therefore I adhere to the principle: "Look at the music - listen to the dances."
