Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan affected by earthquake

On September 5, 2025, humanitarian aid was sent from Ashgabat International Airport to children and residents of Afghanistan affected by the earthquake.
In accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, textiles, food products, as well as clothing and other essential goods were transferred as humanitarian aid to the neighboring Afghan people, primarily to children and residents affected by the natural disaster.
The Turkmen people continue to follow the ancient traditions of humanism and mercy, extending a fraternal helping hand to those in need. The humanitarian aid was sent on behalf of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the expense of the organization, which is another confirmation of commitment to the noble principles of humanism.
One of the priority vectors of the foreign policy strategy of neutral Turkmenistan, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and now successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, is the development of broad international cooperation, where special importance is attached to humanitarian ties.
Participants of the ceremony of handing over humanitarian aid expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for its ongoing support of the Afghan people.
Consistently implementing a constructive foreign policy, Turkmenistan is making a significant contribution to the deepening of humanitarian cooperation in the regional and global dimensions. This is an important aspect of the development of international relations on the basis of mutual understanding, respect and trust.
